COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The two men from the group Fathers 4 Justice scaled a crane on the Ohio State campus Saturday to call attention to what they see as injustice in child-custody disputes.
Ohioan Paul Fischer decided to climb down from his protestation perch Monday night. He said he hadn't had water for a day and dehydration was setting in.
His partner, Donald Tenn of California, remained on top of the crane Tuesday morning but climbed down close to 2:15 p.m.

NBC 4's Mike Jackson talked to Tenn via a walkie-talkie Tuesday before his descent.
Tenn said he was determined to stay on the crane until California Governor Schwarzenegger contacted him.
Jackson reported that Tenn said his water had run out Monday night and he was beginning to feel weak.
Fischer was arrested by campus police Monday. Tenn met the same fate Tuesday.
Jackson said both men likely will face numerous charges, including vandalism.
It was unknown how long until the crane would be operable again. The crane owner said the crane had to be powered down because of the protest. Now, it must go through inspections again.
