A unique way to split the assets upon divorce!

These days, a lot of marriages end in divorce. And when they do, all of the couple’s possessions are split: with each side getting half.

And what about the house? That normally goes to one side with the other side getting other assets equal to half the value. Sometimes the house needs to be sold to get the equity out which is then split between the two parties.

But a Cambodian couple has come up with their own method of division. At least the husband did. According to the Phnom Penh Post newspaper the husband was upset that his estranged wife wouldn’t look after him when he was ill. And this leads him to take things into his own hands.

After 40 years of marriage, the man (and friends) moved all of his possessions to one side of the house and cut it in half! His half was moved to his parent’s property while the wife continues to live in hers.
