In the UK New Fathers 4 Justice turn the tables on the bureaucrats

Well done lads. These folks at those agencies are the front lines in the war on dads. Over here they have no compulsion about throwing fathers in debtors prison, even though he cannot afford the payments. Then he falls further behind when he gets out without a source of income.  The debt follows him for life.  Its the Gulag..MJM

Angry fathers abuse Child Support Agency staff in Brierley Hill

ANGRY fathers who allegedly hurled abuse at Child Support Agency staff in Brierley Hill have vowed to step up their protests against the child maintenance system.

Upset staff at the Agency’s Dudley branch office in Level Street reported being sworn at and being called child abusers when around a dozen protesters from the New Fathers 4 Justice Group confronted them as they arrived for work yesterday.

Police prevented demonstrators from entering or scaling the building – but the group has promised to return to create havoc.

Group member Jeremy Pogue, aged 49, who travelled from south Wales to take part, said the strong police presence meant protesters could not get inside the office block.

Mr Pogue, who is contesting paying current child maintenance levels after his offspring left the country for South Africa, said: “There were officers at every entrance, denying any access to the roof.

“But the next time we come, we will be on the roof – I promise you that.”

Members, who claimed one worker made v-signs at them, dressed as Batman, Spiderman, The Pope, Iron Man and there was even a Wonder Woman – female supporter Samantha Haynes, from Oxford.

Gary Roe, aged 43, from Heanor in Derbyshire, who organised the protest, said he had been voluntarily paying £30 a week maintenance for his daughter by a former partner, but the CSA had increased this to £77. He said: “We are fighting for 50-50 rights because at the moment, the courts are all one way.”

A spokesman for the Agency said: “The Child Support Agency arranges and collects maintenance payments on behalf of almost 850,000 children and will not be intimidated or deterred from that task.

“Separated parents can arrange their own private maintenance arrangements without involving the Agency if they are able to. If anyone feels they have been unfairly treated by the Agency there is an independent complaints process.”
